The First Step

The Idaho Humane Society offers many different ways in which you can help.  The easiest way to help put an end to inhumane treatment of animals is to make a simple donation.  It doesn't take more than a few minutes online.  The best way to help out is of course by adopting an animal.  You can either search for one on their website or just walk in and take a look at all of the animals.  Even just paying the animals a visit and playing with them is enought to make their day and your day alittle bit better.  Any of these options also directly relates to social justice for people.  These neglected animals are just like people who struggle from froms of oppression.  By helping out with the Idaho Humane Society, you are both promoting proper treatment of animals and promoting the proper treatment of the oppressed in general.  An experience with the Humane Society may just influence you to help put a stop to a form a oppression that goes on in our lives.
